Binance Says Four in Ten bStocks Users Are New to Traditional Investing

Binance's tokenised securities product bStocks has reached $500 million in assets under management seven weeks after launch, with 41.5% of users new to traditional investing.

Binance has reported that its tokenised equities product, bStocks, has accumulated $500 million in assets under management within seven weeks of its launch. The exchange says 41.5% of users engaging with the product are accessing traditional financial markets for the first time.

The product, positioned as an entry point for crypto-native users to conventional equities, launched on 11 June with five tokenised securities and has since expanded to more than 46 listings covering US company stocks and exchange-traded funds. bStocks instruments trade around the clock, and eligible users can convert between the tokenised versions and the corresponding conventional securities.

According to internal Binance data, Generation Z accounts for 44% of all bStocks trading activity, making it the product’s largest age group. The company also noted that 58.5% of bStocks holders trade perpetual futures, direct equities, or both alongside the tokens, suggesting cross-product engagement within Binance’s ecosystem.

“Tokenised stocks are opening the door to a new generation of investors,” said Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange & Trading at Binance. “With bStocks accounting for 58% of equity-linked volume on Binance outside U.S. market hours, it is clear that users increasingly expect access on their own terms.”

The figures support Binance’s broader strategy of building a financial “super app” that combines brokerage, tokenised assets, payments and digital-asset trading. Other platforms such as Coinbase, Robinhood and Revolut are pursuing similar cross-product strategies from different starting points.

bStocks are issued by BTech Holdings Ltd, a firm registered in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) under an FSRA-approved prospectus. Each instrument is backed one-to-one by an underlying US security and structured as a certificate representing a financial interest, rather than direct ownership of the underlying shares. This ADGM framework differentiates bStocks from Binance’s earlier stock-token product, which was discontinued in 2021.

For Binance, the early data suggests that tokenised equities may serve as a gateway to traditional investing while keeping users within its multi-asset ecosystem.
