Bending Spoons IPO access now available via xStocks

Kraken customers in the EEA and select global markets can now submit interest in Bending Spoons' Nasdaq IPO through tokenized BSPx shares, tradable 24/5 on launch day.

Kraken has opened access to the upcoming initial public offering of Bending Spoons, the company behind popular apps including WeTransfer, Evernote, Vimeo, AOL, and Eventbrite. Bending Spoons has filed to list on Nasdaq under the ticker BSP. Through Kraken's xStocks framework, eligible customers across the European Economic Area and many other markets can submit a non-binding indication of interest in tokenized shares of the company.

Interested customers can place their indication of interest in the Kraken mobile app at the offering price minus applicable fees. Funds are reserved rather than charged upfront. On the listing day, customers who receive an allocation will have BSPx tokens deposited into their Kraken portfolio. BSPx is a 1:1 backed tokenized representation of Bending Spoons equity, held in custody by a regulated entity. Any funds not allocated will be automatically refunded. Allocation is not guaranteed — it may be full, partial, or zero, depending on demand and availability.

BSPx offers trading beyond traditional market hours. While conventional brokerages restrict trading to standard sessions, BSPx can be traded 24/5 on Kraken and other participating xStocks Alliance platforms. This continuous trading is enabled by Payward's tokenized equities framework, which aims to make public equity exposure more portable and interoperable with the crypto ecosystem.

Unlike standard brokerage accounts, xStocks assets can move across participating platforms, transfer on-chain, and integrate with compatible decentralized finance applications. The Bending Spoons IPO marks the latest instance of Kraken providing retail investors early access to a public listing alongside institutional participants, rather than after the fact. The service is available to customers in the EEA and many global markets, but not to US persons, UK, Canada, or Australia residents. Capital at risk, and geographic restrictions apply.
