Base Cobalt Update Adds Limit Swaps and Token Seizure Tools
Base activated the Cobalt upgrade, adding price-conditioned swap orders and expanded issuer controls that can include clawing tokens back from addresses.
Base has rolled out its Cobalt upgrade, according to the report. Users can now submit swaps in advance with a price condition, allowing execution only when the specified price level is met.
Token issuers also receive new control tools. If an issuer enables the feature, it can withdraw tokens from an address without the owner's consent. The update does not state that this applies automatically; it is available as an optional function.
The announcement does not specify which issuers will activate the clawback capability or how the network expects these tools to be used going forward.
