Avanza Issues Additional Tier 1 Capital
Avanza Bank Holding issued SEK 500 million in Additional Tier 1 capital with a coupon of 3M STIBOR+2.85%, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, to optimise its capital structure and support savings growth.
Avanza Bank Holding (publ) has issued SEK 500 million in Additional Tier 1 (AT1) capital, a perpetual bond with a coupon of three-month STIBOR plus 2.85 percentage points. The instrument includes a call option after five years and is scheduled for listing on Nasdaq Stockholm with a settlement date of 31 March 2026.
Jonas Svärling, CFO of Avanza, said the issuance is a natural step in the company’s ongoing work to optimise its capital structure. “A strong capitalisation also paves the way for future savings capital growth,” he added.
Nordea and SEB acted as financial advisors on the transaction, while Mannheimer Swartling provided legal advice.
Avanza is a Swedish digital platform for savings and investments, founded in 1999. Its parent company, Avanza Bank Holding AB (publ), is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The firm serves over 2.2 million customers and holds more than SEK 1,100 billion in total savings capital, equivalent to 8.3% of the Swedish savings market.
