ATFX Secures Authorisation to Establish Representative Office in Colombia
ATFX has secured authorization from Colombia's financial regulator to establish a representative office, marking its latest expansion in Latin America.
ATFX, the multi-regulated forex and CFD broker, has received authorization from Colombian authorities to open a representative office in the country. The approval, granted by Colombia’s financial regulator, allows the firm to establish a physical presence as it continues to expand across Latin America.
The representative office will serve as a local hub for ATFX, which operates under multiple regulatory licenses worldwide. The move underscores the broker’s strategy to strengthen its footprint in the region, where demand for online trading services has been growing.
ATFX is a co-brand shared by a group of entities, including AT Global Markets (UK) Ltd (regulated by the FCA), AT Global Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd (ASIC), and others licensed in Cyprus, South Africa, Mauritius, Seychelles, the UAE, Jordan, Cambodia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The group offers forex and CFD trading across global markets.
Colombia joins a growing list of markets where ATFX has a regulated presence. The representative office will enable the broker to better serve local clients and engage with regional partners, though it does not yet constitute a full brokerage license in the country.
No details were provided on the exact timeline for the office’s opening or the number of staff to be deployed. The announcement comes as ATFX continues to invest in Latin America, following previous expansions in the region.
