Asian equities climbed, mirroring a tech-driven rally on Wall Street, pushing South Korea’s Kospi up nearly 2%. The yen held steady around 157.33 per dollar after intervention-fueled gains.

Asia-Pacific markets followed Wall Street higher on Thursday, with technology stocks leading the advance. The MSCI Asia-Pacific index turned higher, and South Korea’s Kospi jumped almost 2%.
The S&P 500 closed within striking distance of a record high, while Nasdaq 100 futures extended gains by 0.3% in early Asian trade.
In currency markets, the Japanese yen steadied at around 157.33 per dollar, pausing after a sharp intervention-driven rally earlier in the week.
