Another IG Executive Joins OANDA After Four Years as Global Compliance Officer

Karolina Jasica has joined OANDA as Global Compliance Officer after more than four years at IG Group, the second senior hire the broker has made from its London rival.

Karolina Jasica has joined OANDA as its Global Compliance Officer, according to her LinkedIn profile, moving to the retail FX and CFD broker after more than four years at IG Group. At IG she most recently held the title Head of Compliance Monitoring, Assurance and Regulated Complaints.

Her arrival marks the second recent senior addition to OANDA from IG Group. In December, the broker appointed former IG risk executive Paweł Latocha as Head of Operational Risk for OANDA Group and added him to the management board of OANDA TMS.

Long compliance career at State Street

Before joining IG Group, Jasica spent more than a decade at State Street, holding a series of roles across investment compliance and operations. Her longest senior position there was Global Head of Investment Compliance, which she held for three years and four months at Managing Director level.

In that role she led investment compliance operations spanning multiple European and US jurisdictions, with responsibilities covering client onboarding, daily monitoring and reporting. She also worked across compliance teams in several locations and was involved in technology migration and operating model projects.

Earlier at State Street, Jasica served for nearly three years as Country Head of Investment Analytics, a remit that covered investment compliance, performance measurement, market data and securities lending. She previously spent four years and three months as Senior Investment Compliance Manager and Deputy Head, and also worked as a freelance lecturer at the Institute of Banking for three years.

Her appointment comes amid broader changes in OANDA's senior management. In September, Darren Moffett, who had served as the broker's global marketing chief for nearly five years, left to join FXTM as Chief Marketing Officer.

Those moves follow FTMO's acquisition of OANDA from CVC. The purchase price was reported at more than CZK 8.79 billion, or roughly $422 million, for the broker, with the deal closing in December after several months of preparations.
