ActivTrades Rewards Clients With Interest on Uninvested Cash, Paying Up to 3.3% on US Dollar Balances
ActivTrades has launched interest on uninvested free margin through its Mauritius entity, paying 3.3% on USD balances up to $100,000 and 2.4% on EUR, with monthly crediting.
ActivTrades clients can now earn interest on cash that is not being used for open positions. The new offering, available through the broker's Mauritius entity regulated by the Financial Services Commission, pays 3.3% annual interest on US dollar balances up to $100,000 and 2.4% on euro balances. Interest is calculated daily and credited to client accounts once a month automatically.
The initiative is aimed at a long-standing frustration for active traders: free margin that sits idle in a trading account typically earns no return and loses purchasing power over time. ActivTrades is positioning the scheme as a way to turn that uninvested capital into a passive income stream while keeping funds available for future trades.
How the offer works
There is no separate enrollment process, no minimum deposit requirement, and no need to place trades to qualify. The interest applies to the free margin held in the account, regardless of whether the client is actively trading. Traders can continue accessing more than 2,000 CFDs across seven asset classes, including currencies, indices, shares, commodities and cryptocurrencies, while their unused balance earns yield in the background.
ActivTrades also highlights its execution speed, with order processing under 0.004 seconds, along with a commission-free trading model, negative balance protection and no minimum deposit to open an account. Clients can choose between the broker's proprietary ActivTrader platform, MetaTrader 4 and 5, or TradingView.
Nedko Geshev, Chief Communications Officer at ActivTrades, said: "We know that not every dollar or euro in a trading account is meant to be in the market at all times. With this offer, we wanted to make sure our clients' capital keeps working for them even when it isn't tied up in a position."
The broker says it serves more than 300,000 traders worldwide, provides customer support in 14 languages and reports a 95% client satisfaction rate. ActivTrades encourages traders to review the specific currency thresholds, crediting schedule and eligibility terms on its website before opening an account.
