ActivTrades Chairman Patrick Storey Steps Down, Replaced by Martin Bleisteiner

Longtime ActivTrades director Patrick Storey has stepped down as Chairman, replaced by Martin Bleisteiner, who joined the company in August 2025 as Group Chief Compliance Officer. The change has been approved by the UK FCA.

ActivTrades, the UK-based CFD broker regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has announced a change in its board leadership. Patrick Storey, who served as Chairman since 2022 and as an Independent Non-Executive Director since 2017, has stepped down from the board.

Storey, a former Senior Partner in Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Group, also holds directorships at companies including Think Money Group, Arch Insurance, and Pepper Financial Services. His departure from the broker follows years of service during a period of development for the group.

Replacing Storey as Chair is Martin Bleisteiner. Bleisteiner joined ActivTrades in August 2025 as Group Chief Compliance Officer and Non-Executive Director. With 19 years of experience across regulatory and brokerage environments, his appointment has been approved by the FCA. ActivTrades stated that Bleisteiner brings continuity, deep sector expertise, and a strong understanding of the business to the role.

ActivTrades Plc is regulated by the FCA in the UK and operates licensed subsidiaries in several other jurisdictions. The company remains controlled by its longtime CEO, Alex Pusco, who is a Swiss national residing in Monaco.
