XTB signs as back-of-shirt sponsor for Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais

Polish CFD broker XTB will become back-of-shirt sponsor of Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais through 2029, following its recent sleeve deal with FC Porto.

Polish listed broker XTB (WSE:XTB) has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais, becoming the team's back-of-shirt sponsor through 2029. The deal was announced on August 11, 2026, and comes just days after XTB was unveiled as sleeve sponsor for Portuguese side FC Porto.

Under the agreement, the XTB brand will appear on the lower back of Olympique Lyonnais players' shirts starting with the 2026-2027 season. The broker will also receive exposure through the club's digital channels and the dynamic LED displays at Groupama Stadium, reaching millions of TV viewers and fans worldwide.

XTB says the partnership supports its goal of making investing more accessible and will include activations promoting its investment app and technology to Olympique Lyonnais supporters. The company, which has operated for over two decades in numerous countries, will use the collaboration to expand its visibility among a global football audience.

Thibaut Chatelard, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Marketing at Olympique Lyonnais, said the club is delighted to welcome XTB as a major partner. He noted that the deal brings together two brands known for ambition, innovation, and international expansion, and that XTB's three-season commitment reflects the strength of the club's brand platform and fan community.

Szymon Szymański, Chief Growth Officer at XTB, said the partnership goes beyond a logo on the jersey. He said XTB and the club are championing financial education for a global fanbase, aiming to give supporters the knowledge, trust, and confidence to engage with personal finance.

XTB was founded in Poland in 2004 and has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2016. The broker reports close to 3 million users of its investing app and operates 17 offices worldwide, with customer support available in 20 languages. It offers trading in CFDs, options, stocks, and ETFs, as well as investment plans and tax-advantaged products in selected European markets.
