WhiteBIT Secures Broker License in Georgia

WhiteBIT, the largest European cryptocurrency exchange by traffic, has received a broker license from the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) through its local entity WhiteBIT Broker. The authorization allows the company to introduce crypto derivatives trading, including perpetual futures, to the Georgian market.

The newly licensed WhiteBIT Broker will focus on providing regulated derivatives and other broker-led financial instruments, accessible via whitebit.ge. While WhiteBIT already serves Georgian users with spot trading through a separate entity, the new license adds a compliant platform for derivatives with an emphasis on transparency, capital protection, and operational reliability.

Secured in collaboration with consulting firm Clarsen, the license marks a significant step in WhiteBIT’s expansion across regulated markets. Georgia has positioned itself as an emerging crypto hub, supported by a favorable regulatory framework and increasing adoption. According to Chainalysis’ 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index, Georgia ranks 3rd globally when adjusted for population size.
