WEEX P2P Now Supports BDT & LKR

Cryptocurrency exchange WEEX has launched Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) support on its peer-to-peer (P2P) trading platform, enabling users in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to buy and sell crypto directly using their local currencies. The move is part of WEEX's ongoing expansion of fiat on-ramps.

To encourage adoption, WEEX is running a promotional campaign with rewards for both new users and merchants. New users who complete their first P2P deposit of at least 20 USDT receive a 5 USDT bonus, while cumulative deposits of 100 USDT unlock an additional 15 USDT. Users depositing 100 USDT via P2P and trading at least 1,000 USDT in futures can earn a 20 USDT futures bonus. Referral rewards offer 10 USDT per valid invitee, capped at 1,000 USDT.

Merchant Incentives

Merchants who complete verification and post their first ad receive 3 USDT. Completing a first order (buy or sell) grants 5 USDT, while executing both a buy and sell order earns 8 USDT. Merchants reaching a cumulative P2P trading volume of 500 USDT during the event period receive an additional 20 USDT, bringing potential total rewards to 36 USDT.

WEEX P2P operates as an escrow-based marketplace where crypto assets are held securely until payment is confirmed by the seller, reducing counterparty risk. Buyers can filter offers by fiat currency (BDT or LKR) and choose sellers based on exchange rates, completion rates, and payment methods.

Merchants applying to offer BDT or LKR services must complete phone or email and identity verification, maintain a USDT security deposit (amount varies by market), and pass a review process that takes approximately seven working days. WEEX notes that proof of merchant status on other platforms may reduce or waive the deposit.

WEEX says it plans to continue expanding P2P support to additional countries and regions. The platform charges zero fees for buyers on P2P trades.
