Webull Connects Accounts to ChatGPT, Claude and Grok

Webull is letting eligible users link brokerage accounts to ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, while adding a CLI and MCP tools for AI-driven investing.

Webull has expanded its artificial intelligence strategy with native connectors for ChatGPT, Claude and Grok, plus a new command-line interface and enhanced Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities.

The connectors let eligible users access account balances, positions, watchlists, order history and market data through natural-language conversations with leading AI assistants. Anthony Denier, Group President and U.S. Chief Executive Officer of Webull, said investors increasingly expect brokerage services to be available wherever they interact with AI. “We believe investors should be able to access Webull’s insights and account tools wherever they choose to engage with AI,” Denier said.

On the developer side, Webull introduced Webull CLI, a standalone Go binary that gives quant traders, developers and fintech companies terminal-based access to live market prices, portfolio monitoring and trade execution across asset classes. The tool is aimed at supporting automated workflows and AI-native applications rather than traditional retail app users.

The company also expanded its MCP library with investment research skills covering capital flow analysis, company fundamentals, peer comparisons, earnings forecasts, SEC filings, earnings calendars and dividend schedules. That extends the integration beyond simple account visibility toward deeper portfolio monitoring and decision support.

Jack Keating, Head of AI and Chief Executive Officer of Webull Tech US, said AI is evolving from an information tool into a mechanism for deeper investor engagement. “The next generation of investors won’t simply ask AI for market insights, they will expect AI to help them research opportunities, monitor portfolios, identify risks, and understand account activity more seamlessly,” Keating said.

The move reflects a broader industry shift in retail brokerage. Rather than confining clients to a proprietary app, brokerages are beginning to treat AI assistants and developer tools as primary front-ends to trading infrastructure. By connecting to external AI platforms, autonomous agents and MCP-compatible systems, Webull is positioning its services to remain accessible wherever investors choose to work.
