Webull Adds Pre-Market and Post-Market Trading for Select…
Webull has begun offering extended-hours options trading from 7:30 a.m. ET on a selected list of 24 stocks and five ETFs, with after-hours access until 4:15 p.m. ET for eligible contracts.

Webull has introduced options trading outside regular U.S. market hours, starting at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time for a curated set of 24 stocks and five exchange-traded funds. The online broker said the initial lineup includes options on Apple, Amazon, Nvidia and Tesla, as well as ETFs tied to the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, Russell 2000, gold and financial stocks—specifically the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, Invesco QQQ Trust, iShares Russell 2000 ETF, SPDR Gold Shares and Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund. Eligibility depends on the symbol and contract.
The new sessions surround the standard U.S. options market, which typically operates from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET for equity and many ETF options. Webull's pre-market window opens two hours before the stock market, while the after-hours period extends 15 minutes past the regular close. The post-market session does not apply to symbols whose options already trade until 4:15 p.m. in their regular session. Webull said additional index options and markets may be added later but gave no timetable. Access is limited to eligible symbols and contracts and may depend on account approval and supported order types; the broker's help materials state that limit orders are used.
Liquidity and execution risks
The timing is aimed partly at earnings announcements, which often land before the opening bell or after the close. A trading window can let customers react to overnight news, but Webull's disclosures caution that extended-hours trading carries lower liquidity and higher volatility. Fewer participants can mean wider bid-ask spreads, limited displayed size and quotes that shift quickly. The broker also warns that quotes shown between 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. may not be executable because some exchanges publish quotes without offering extended-hours trading.
Options add risks beyond stock trading: value can be influenced by the underlying price, time to expiration, volatility and interest rates. Buyers can lose the premium paid, and some strategies can lose more than the initial investment. Assignment and exercise considerations may apply. Webull says options are not suitable for all investors and requires customers to review the standardized options risk disclosure.
The rollout reflects broader competition among retail brokers to offer more trading windows and tools. Webull did not provide customer uptake projections or say whether the service will affect revenue. It also did not announce changes to commission rates or contract fees for the new sessions; regulatory and exchange fees still apply. The service is available now for eligible U.S. customers, but it does not make the U.S. options market continuous. Many contracts remain unavailable outside regular hours, and the listing venues' schedules are unchanged.
