Upstox Rolls Out Fundamentals and Market Information APIs for Developers
Upstox has introduced new Fundamentals and Market Information APIs, allowing developers to access financial statements, ratios, shareholding patterns, FII/DII activity, and more.
Upstox, the Indian discount brokerage platform, has released version 2.27.0 of its Python library, introducing a suite of new Fundamentals and Market Information APIs for developers.
Fundamentals APIs
The new Fundamentals APIs give developers access to structured financial data for any listed company using its ISIN. Data points include financial statements, key financial ratios, shareholding patterns, corporate actions, and competitor profiles. This enables traders and analysts to build tools that require fundamental analysis directly through the Upstox platform.
Market Information APIs
The Market Information APIs provide institutional-grade market data. Developers can now access FII (Foreign Institutional Investor) and DII (Domestic Institutional Investor) activity, open interest, max pain, and put-call ratio. These endpoints are designed to support the creation of more informed trading tools and dashboards.
The APIs are part of Upstox's ongoing expansion of its developer ecosystem, aiming to give retail traders and quantitative developers access to the same types of data typically used by institutional players. The update is available immediately through the Upstox Python library on GitHub.
