Robinhood Lets All Eligible US Customers Share Their Trades and Portfolios
Robinhood has ended the invitation-only beta of Robinhood Social, letting eligible US users share charts, realized P&L and portfolio allocations, with the Legend desktop platform to follow in the coming weeks.
Robinhood has made its in-app trading feed, Robinhood Social, available to all eligible US customers, closing out the invitation-only beta phase. Chief Executive Vlad Tenev confirmed the broader rollout on Tuesday (13 October 2026) in a post on X.
Alongside the verified trades that formed the basis of the beta, users can now publish stock and crypto charts, realized profit and loss, and portfolio allocations. Tenev said customers can also follow other traders and receive news and company updates directly inside the feed. Legend, the desktop platform Robinhood introduced for active traders in October 2024, is set to receive the Social feature in the coming weeks.
The expansion places a trader-to-trader feed in front of a customer base that Robinhood reported at 28.4 million funded customers at the end of June. The company first positioned Social in September 2025 as a competitor to Reddit's trading communities, with posts anchored to real account activity.
Copying remains manual
During the beta, which opened in March to roughly 1,000 invited customers, Robinhood kept trade copying manual and linked every profile to a verified customer. Users could review what others bought and place the same order themselves, without automatic mirroring. A user agreement effective 18 September preserves that distinction, stating that Social "is NOT a copy trading platform" and is not intended for providing or receiving professional investment advice.
The terms exclude securities-licensed professionals, individuals employed by or connected to a brokerage or stock exchange, and Robinhood staff. Customers choose which eligible trades to post, while futures and multi-leg options trades cannot currently be shared, according to Yahoo Finance.
Rivals have taken different approaches to social investing. eToro brought its CopyTrader product to US investors in October 2025, allowing users to mirror the trades and portfolios of verified investors on its platform. Public.com, which built its brand around social investing, shut down its social features in June 2025, saying AI-generated content now covers the market recaps users previously posted.
Social was one of more than 15 products Robinhood unveiled in Houston. The line-up also included AI trading agents and crypto perpetual futures with leverage of up to 10x, which the company said would reach eligible customers over time.
