Poloniex to Support the FIL Network Upgrade

Poloniex will pause FIL Chain deposits and withdrawals on May 27, 2026, for the FIL Network Upgrade, while trading continues uninterrupted.

Crypto exchange Poloniex has announced it will support the upcoming FIL Network Upgrade by temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals for FIL Chain tokens. The suspension is scheduled to begin at 12:00:00 UTC on May 27, 2026, and users are advised to deposit tokens in advance if needed.

The network upgrade itself is set to take place at block height 6052800, approximately 14:00:00 UTC on the same day. Poloniex said it will handle all technical requirements on behalf of users, and confirmed that trading of FIL Chain tokens will not be affected during the maintenance period.

No New Tokens

According to the exchange, the network upgrade will not result in the creation of any new tokens. Poloniex also stated that deposits and withdrawals will be reopened once the upgraded network is deemed stable, and that no further announcement will be made before services are restored.

The announcement was published on May 18, 2026, giving users roughly nine days to prepare before the scheduled suspension. The measure is part of Poloniex's standard procedure for supporting network upgrades on chains where it offers token services.

FIL Chain serves as the network layer associated with the Filecoin ecosystem, and periodic upgrades are common across blockchain networks to introduce protocol improvements. Exchange users holding FIL Chain tokens should plan accordingly ahead of the deposit and withdrawal pause.
