Paribu Expands into DeFi, Yield and Equities

Turkey's leading digital asset platform Paribu expands into DeFi and equities, integrating Hyperliquid perpetuals and Polymarket option markets, while opening a waitlist for US and Turkish stock trading.

Istanbul-based digital asset platform Paribu has introduced DeFi access within its app, enabling trading of perpetual contracts via Hyperliquid and participation in prediction markets through Polymarket. The company also opened a waitlist for equity trading, covering NYSE, Nasdaq and Borsa Istanbul stocks. The moves, announced July 1, 2026, mark a strategic expansion from a pure crypto exchange into a multi-asset investment platform.

Paribu claims to be the first regulated exchange to offer both Hyperliquid perpetuals and Polymarket option markets directly inside a centralized exchange interface without requiring a separate wallet app. Users can access these onchain features using their existing Paribu balance, with positions held in a self-custodial wallet. The integration aims to bring decentralized finance tools to Turkey's large retail crypto base.

DeFi and equities in one app

According to data from TRM Labs, Turkey ranked fifth globally in retail crypto activity in Q1 2026, recording $40 billion in volume — a 7% year-over-year increase despite an 11% global contraction. Paribu founder and CEO Yasin Oral said the platform is becoming "a single app for all of finance: crypto, DeFi, equities, and yield." He noted that integrating Hyperliquid and Polymarket eliminates the need for users to navigate multiple wallets and protocols.

Hyperliquid has processed over $4 trillion in cumulative trading volume and leads decentralized exchange markets by open interest. Its builder code program has distributed more than $85 million in revenue to frontend developers. Polymarket, the largest decentralized option market, is now accessible to Turkey's retail base through Paribu's curated interface — each contract reviewed for liquidity and risk before listing.

Paribu holds establishment authorization from Turkey's Capital Markets Board for its brokerage arm and is awaiting an operating license. Real-time market data for US and Turkish stocks is already available in the app at no charge. The company plans to offer trading in NYSE, Nasdaq and Borsa Istanbul stocks once the license is granted.

Founded in 2017, Paribu supports over 220 crypto assets and claims a matching engine capable of processing 7.6 million orders per second. In 2025 it acquired a majority stake in CoinMENA, a licensed exchange serving 1.5 million users across Dubai and Bahrain. Earlier in 2026, self-custodial finance app Clave joined Paribu, adding passkey-based account abstraction capabilities.
