OKX Turns Infrastructure Partners into Investors at $25 Billion Valuation

OKX has turned a group of its infrastructure partners into equity investors at a $25 billion valuation, leading a day of broker, platform and regulatory news.

Crypto exchange OKX has converted a group of its infrastructure partners into equity investors at a $25 billion valuation, the lead development in the latest daily roundup of brokerage, fintech and digital-asset news.

Broker deals and earnings

The same news cycle brought significant movement among retail brokers. Trade Nation has agreed to acquire the UK client book of FXCM, while Trading 212 reported a 70% rise in revenue over the period.

IG Group appeared twice in the roundup: the group is expecting lower third-quarter revenue and has lost two of its technology chiefs. Pepperstone, by contrast, reported double-digit revenue growth. On the product side, MetaQuotes added Benzinga news to its platform, Match-Trader launched an MCP, and CFI introduced seven-day gold trading, while brokers continued to weigh build-versus-buy decisions for their technology stacks.

Regulation and crypto platforms

Regulatory developments were equally active. The CFTC moved to allow perpetual index futures, the FCA opened a crypto authorisation window, and EU regulators raised questions over Binance's use of reverse solicitation. Elsewhere, Polymarket introduced new trading safeguards, and eToro backed a euro-denominated stablecoin.

Together the items illustrate how quickly the boundary between regulated brokerage, crypto exchanges and prediction markets is shifting, with infrastructure providers, market data and settlement rails increasingly part of the competitive picture. OKX's decision to bring its infrastructure partners onto the cap table at a $25 billion valuation places it among the more prominent privately held names in the sector.
