Nordnet AB Publishes First Quarter 2026 Interim Report

Nordnet reported its first-ever quarterly net profit before tax above SEK 1 billion in Q1 2026, driven by record net savings and customer growth.
Nordnet AB achieved a historic milestone in the first quarter of 2026, reporting a net profit before tax of over SEK 1 billion for the first time. The figure represents an 8% increase compared to the previous quarter, according to the company's interim report published on 24 April.
Net savings for the quarter reached SEK 28.8 billion, one of the highest single-quarter totals in the company's history. The Nordic digital savings platform added 77,500 new customers during the period, contributing to strong growth in brokerage and fund revenues.
Adjusted operating income rose to SEK 1,485 million from SEK 1,396 million in the same quarter of 2025, while adjusted operating profit increased to SEK 1,042 million from SEK 985 million a year earlier. Adjusted earnings per share after dilution came in at SEK 3.32, up from SEK 3.13 in Q1 2025.
The company attributed the performance to high trading activity, continued fund savings, and a turnaround in net interest income as market interest rates rose. Cost control remained in line with the company's target of approximately 8% annual cost increases.
New CEO and AI Focus
Rasmus Järborg, who took over as CEO on 1 April 2026 after serving as Deputy CEO and Chief Product Officer, noted that the record profit reflects the strength of Nordnet's business model. He highlighted that seamless user experience across app and web platforms is a priority for the growing customer base.
Nordnet also stepped up its use of artificial intelligence during the quarter. AI-generated news and summaries of financial reports have been rolled out in the company's app and web platforms, with a broader focus on implementing AI for both internal processes and customer-facing features.
