Lemon lanzo un pack para invertir en cinco grandes empresas argentinas que cotizan en Wall Street

Lemon introduced a new thematic investment pack called Gigantes Argentinos, allowing users to buy shares of five major Argentine companies listed in the US with a minimum of $15,000 ARS or $10 digital dollars.

Lemon, the Argentine crypto and fintech platform, expanded its investment offering on July 9 with the launch of "Gigantes Argentinos," a thematic pack that lets users buy shares of five major Argentine companies that trade on Wall Street in a single transaction.

The pack includes stocks of YPF, Grupo Galicia, Pampa Energía, Mercado Libre, and Loma Negra, spanning energy, banking, technology, and construction materials. The minimum investment is set at $15,000 Argentine pesos or $10 digital dollars, with fractional shares available directly through the Lemon app.

Although July 9 was a national holiday in Argentina, trading remained active throughout the day because the stocks are listed on US exchanges, which operated normally while the local Buenos Aires market was closed.

The launch comes just weeks after Lemon first enabled trading of US-listed equities on its platform. According to the company, in less than a month over 50,000 investment accounts were opened, with users trading more than $1.1 million and an average daily volume of roughly $100,000.

Lemon noted that the purchased shares are registered in the user's name in the United States. Custody is handled by Alpaca Securities, a regulated US broker, and investments are covered by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) for up to $500,000 per client, including up to $250,000 in cash, in case of the custodian's insolvency.

With Gigantes Argentinos, Lemon adds another themed portfolio to an offering that already includes fractional trading in over 10,000 US stocks, ETFs, indices like the S&P 500, and other thematic baskets.

Founded in 2019 by Marcelo Cavazzoli, Lemon now has over 4 million validated users across Latin America. The company has raised more than $66 million in funding rounds led by Kingsway Capital, F-Prime, and ParaFi. Beyond investments, the app also offers digital dollar and crypto purchases, yield on balances, and cashback payments.
