Interactive Brokers Reports 53% DARTs Jump in June

Interactive Brokers reported June 2026 metrics showing daily average revenue trades up 53% year-on-year to 5.269 million and client equity up 40% to $930.3 billion.

Interactive Brokers Group (Nasdaq: IBKR) reported a sharp rise in June 2026 brokerage metrics, with daily average revenue trades (DARTs) climbing 53% year-on-year to 5.269 million. The figure also rose 6% from May 2026, according to the electronic broker's monthly operational data released Wednesday.

Client equity reached $930.3 billion at the end of June, up 40% from a year earlier but down 1% from the prior month. The broker also posted a significant increase in margin lending: client margin loan balances totaled $108.5 billion, up 67% year-on-year. Ending client credit balances grew 27% to $182.4 billion, including $6.4 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps.

Client accounts continued to expand, reaching 5.185 million, a 34% increase year-over-year and a 4% gain from May. The average commission per cleared commissionable order stood at $2.52, including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees.

Interactive Brokers also disclosed execution-cost metrics for its IBKR PRO platform. The total cost of executing and clearing U.S. Reg-NMS stocks through the platform was approximately 3.2 basis points of trade money in June, measured against a daily volume-weighted average price benchmark. On a rolling twelve-month basis, the figure was 2.3 basis points.

The firm noted a mark-to-market loss of $318,000 on its U.S. government securities portfolio for the quarter ended June 30. Its GLOBAL currency basket declined 0.48% in June and 0.21% for the second quarter.
