Interactive Brokers registers 27% Y/Y increase in DARTs in July 2026

Interactive Brokers recorded 4.426 million DARTs in July 2026, up 27% year on year, while client equity reached $906.7 billion and accounts grew to 5.317 million.

Interactive Brokers Group (NASDAQ: IBKR) on Aug. 3 published its operating metrics for July 2026, showing a 27% year-over-year increase in daily average revenue trades (DARTs) to 4.426 million. The monthly figure was 16% lower than June 2026, reflecting the usual seasonal step-down from the prior month.

Ending client equity reached $906.7 billion, up 32% compared with July 2025 but down 3% from the end of June. The brokerage also reported ending client margin loan balances of $100.7 billion, 49% higher year over year and 7% lower month over month.

Client credit balances, including insured bank deposit sweeps, totaled $180.5 billion at the end of July, with $6.3 billion held in insured deposit sweep vehicles. That was 25% above the year-ago level and 1% below the prior month.

Client growth

Interactive Brokers said client accounts reached 5.317 million at the end of July, up 34% from a year earlier and 3% from June. Average commission per cleared commissionable order came in at $2.56, including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees.

The latest figures point to continued client acquisition and robust asset growth on a yearly basis, even as activity and balances cooled from June. Interactive Brokers regularly releases these operational metrics as a snapshot of trading activity, client balances and account growth across its global electronic brokerage business.
