Interactive Brokers enables traders to manage IBKR Price Alerts directly from their connected AI platform

Interactive Brokers has released version 1.1.6 of IBKR Connector, introducing the ability to manage IBKR Price Alerts directly through a connected AI platform. The update, announced August 4, 2026, is aimed at clients who use AI assistants for account-related questions and want to act on price levels without leaving the chat window.

With the updated connector, traders can instruct their AI assistant to create, view, update, pause, resume, or delete Price Alerts on their Interactive Brokers account. A simple “What’s new?” query also surfaces recently added functionality and upcoming features, the company said.

IBKR Connector is available in the app store or integration marketplace of supported AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok. Once linked, clients can ask questions in natural language and receive personalized responses based on their own account data. The company cites examples such as “What’s my P&L today?” and, in a period of market volatility, “How can I make my portfolio more defensive?”

The AI platform draws on the connected IBKR account and the capabilities of the user’s chosen large language model to generate relevant insights. This allows clients to interact conversationally with account data and access information more efficiently.

In addition, Interactive Brokers said clients can connect their IBKR account to any AI application that supports the Model Context Protocol. Beyond the official IBKR connectors available for ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok, this includes tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT Workspaces, and other MCP-enabled applications.
