Security firm PeckShield has reported that the Hedera network was allegedly compromised in a hack totaling approximately $5.25 million. The attacker initially funded the exploit by transferring 1 ETH from Tornado Cash, a privacy mixer often used to obscure transaction origins.
Currently, the attacker's wallet holds about 2,360 ETH (worth roughly $4.25 million) and 5.58 WBTC (valued at around $1 million). The incident highlights ongoing security concerns in decentralized networks and the use of mixers to anonymize attack funding.
