Gate Officially Introduces Stock Trading Services, Bridging Crypto and Traditional Markets

Crypto exchange Gate has introduced stock trading on its platform, allowing users to buy and sell over 10,000 stocks and ETFs using USDT directly from the Gate app.
Crypto exchange Gate has officially launched stock trading services, enabling users to trade stocks and ETFs using USDT within the platform. The move further integrates digital assets with traditional financial markets, offering a unified account system for both asset classes.
The new service supports more than 10,000 stock and ETF assets, covering major U.S. exchanges including NYSE, Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, NYSE American, and BATS. According to Gate, this range is significantly broader than what most tokenized stock platforms offer, which typically support only a few hundred assets.
Unlike traditional CFD (Contract for Difference) products, Gate Stocks allows users to buy, hold, and sell actual stock assets directly through their Gate accounts. Funds are managed separately from derivatives, and there are no funding rates or overnight holding fees, making the service more suitable for long-term allocation to U.S. equities.
The stock trading function is seamlessly integrated into the existing Gate App. Android users can access it after updating to the latest version, while iOS users need version 8.21.5. After completing KYC and meeting jurisdictional requirements, users can find the Stocks section under TradFi in the app, view market data, and transfer USDT to begin trading.
Gate emphasized that using USDT for stock purchases expands the stablecoin's utility beyond digital asset trading into global stock allocation. The development positions Gate as an integrated financial infrastructure bridging crypto and traditional capital markets, with plans to continue expanding multi-asset access and cross-market trading capabilities.
