'From a Single Office to 140 Countries: ActivTrades Marks 25 Years of Innovation and Global Expansion’

London-based multi-asset broker ActivTrades is celebrating its 25th anniversary, having grown from a single office in 2001 to a business serving traders in more than 140 countries.

ActivTrades is marking 25 years in business, a milestone that traces its origins to a single office opened in 2001. The London-headquartered multi-asset broker now serves traders across more than 140 countries and says it has handled over 300,000 clients since launch.

Alongside its proprietary ActivTrader platform, the company offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and TradingView. Over the quarter century it has collected more than 75 international awards, according to the firm.

ActivTrades operates under authorisation and regulation in several jurisdictions, including the FCA, SCB, CMVM, FSC, BACEN and CVM. The group presents that multi-licence structure as a way to serve clients across different markets while maintaining consistent client-protection standards.

Built to close a gap

The company frames its founding in the context of an era when online trading was still largely out of reach for retail investors, with limited platforms, restricted market access and tools that looked little like those used on professional desks. ActivTrades positioned itself around faster execution, intuitive platforms and a broad instrument range, with ActivTrader designed to deliver powerful tools without unnecessary complexity. Market data feeds and execution standards have remained central to its development, the firm said.

"We built this company on the belief that individual traders should have access to the same quality of markets, technology, tools and service traditionally available to professionals," said Alex Pusco, CEO of ActivTrades. "Twenty-five years in, that belief has never been more relevant."

To mark the anniversary, ActivTrades has introduced a commemorative update to its logo featuring a 25th-anniversary ribbon alongside its existing visual identity. The broker also held an anniversary event that brought together staff from across its international network to recognise the teams behind its expansion.

Looking ahead, the company said it remains focused on developing its trading platforms and broadening access to global markets for the traders it serves, as the retail trading landscape continues to change rapidly.
