Bybit Launches RWA Earn, Bringing Institutional Investment Opportunities On-Chain

Bybit partners with Plume and DigiFT to offer tokenized institutional bond funds from PIMCO and CMBI to eligible users through RWA Earn, bridging TradFi and crypto.
Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched RWA Earn, a platform that brings tokenized institutional bond funds on-chain for eligible users. The initiative, announced in partnership with open finance platform Plume and regulated digital asset exchange DigiFT, allows crypto-native investors to subscribe to products from PIMCO and China Merchants Bank International (CMBI) directly from their Bybit accounts.
RWA Earn debuts with two funds. The PIMCO Dynamic Income Opportunities Fund (PDO), managed by the $2.26 trillion fixed-income manager, dynamically allocates across corporate debt, mortgage-backed securities, government bonds, bank loans, and emerging market instruments. The CMBI Investment Grade Bond Fund (CMIGB), managed by CMB International Asset Management, targets stable returns from investment-grade bonds with an average credit rating of BBB+ and a portfolio duration of 3.24 years. Both products are tokenized through DigiFT, which holds regulatory licenses from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, and are distributed via Plume Nest Vaults. Underlying assets are custodied by State Street Bank for PDO and CMB Wing Lung Trustee for CMIGB. No subscription or redemption fees apply, and Bybit covers all on-chain gas fees.
“Crypto traders have never had a straightforward way to access institutional bond markets. RWA Earn brings professionally managed fixed-income strategies on-chain, fully subscribed in USDC,” said Jerry Li, Head of Financial Products & Wealth Management at Bybit. “Together with our partners, Bybit is taking down legacy barriers that have long kept crypto-native investors from institutional opportunities.”
Chris Yin, CEO of Plume, noted that the partnership demonstrates how institutional-grade onchain infrastructure can meet global distribution. “For too long, crypto users have had to choose between leaving stablecoins idle or chasing unsustainable DeFi yields with protocol risk. Now Bybit’s 80 million-plus users will gain access to products that institutional investors have trusted for decades,” he said. Henry Zhang, Founder and Group CEO of DigiFT, added that compliant tokenization infrastructure and mass distribution are no longer in tension.
The launch comes as the real-world assets (RWA) sector reaches an inflection point, with stablecoin market cap surpassing $300 billion in 2026 and tokenized RWAs gaining traction across both traditional and decentralized finance. Bybit has been expanding its TradFi offerings since 2024, introducing CFD trading, tokenized equities, and perpetual contracts for assets like precious metals and AI stocks. RWA Earn marks its first foray into institutional fixed-income.
Bybit cautions that RWA Earn is not principal-protected and involves risk of loss. APR figures are based on historical NAV performance and are not guaranteed. Availability varies by jurisdiction and user eligibility.
