Blockchain.com, Ondo Finance Bring Tokenized U.S. Stocks to Europe

Blockchain.com and Ondo Finance have expanded their partnership to offer over 200 tokenized US stocks and ETFs to users in 30 European Economic Area states through Blockchain.com's DeFi wallet.
Blockchain.com and Ondo Finance today announced the expansion of their partnership to offer tokenized US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to users across Europe. The service is now available to eligible customers in 30 countries within the European Economic Area (EEA) via Blockchain.com's DeFi wallet.
The offering includes over 200 tokenized securities representing shares in NYSE-listed companies and ETFs, including precious metals funds tracking gold and silver. The tokens are powered by Ondo Global Markets, a platform that launched in September 2025 and has since recorded $8.7 billion in trading volume, with total value locked exceeding $556 million, according to the announcement.
“By bringing U.S. equities onchain for our European users, we are providing self-custody solutions through our DeFi wallet that are faster, more efficient and completely self-owned,” said Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain.com. Users can manage the tokenized securities directly within the wallet interface, eliminating the need for traditional brokerage accounts and allowing them to hold custody of their assets without relying on intermediaries.
Ian De Bode, president of Ondo Finance, noted that the European expansion enables the platform to reach a segment of Blockchain.com’s user base that previously lacked access to tokenized stocks. The partnership initially launched similar services in select African and South American markets in 2025.
The companies did not disclose which specific regulatory approvals were obtained to offer tokenized securities across European markets, nor did they provide details on compliance frameworks. Additionally, the announcement did not clarify whether the tokenized stocks carry traditional shareholder rights such as voting or dividend payments, or explain the legal structure underpinning the token representations.
Ondo Finance develops infrastructure for tokenizing real-world assets on blockchain networks, including precious metals ETFs. Blockchain.com, headquartered in London, operates a cryptocurrency exchange and wallet service.
