Bitunix Launches U.S. Stock Futures Trading with USDT Settlement

Bitunix exchange introduces US stock futures with USDT settlement, letting users speculate on Tesla, MicroStrategy, and other stocks without a traditional brokerage account.

Bitunix, a global cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, has rolled out a new product enabling users to trade futures contracts linked to major US stocks, with settlement in USDT. The feature was announced this week and is designed to provide exposure to equity price movements without requiring a conventional brokerage account.

The futures cover companies such as Tesla, MicroStrategy, and Circle, tracking the underlying shares traded on exchanges like the Nasdaq. The contracts function similarly to crypto perpetual futures already available on Bitunix: traders can take both long and short positions, and all profits and losses settle in USDT. The company emphasized that the contracts do not confer ownership of the underlying shares, but allow speculation on price changes.

According to Steven Gu, Chief Strategy Officer at Bitunix, the move aims to lower barriers for users who face cross-border restrictions or the complexity of opening foreign brokerage accounts. "With this move, we have allowed users to gain exposure to the US equity market more easily since complex brokerage accounts and cross-border barriers often can become an obstacle for them," Gu said.

The exchange also highlighted that traders can manage crypto and stock-linked positions within a single account, without moving funds between foreign banks, currency exchanges, or international brokerages. Beyond the initial group of stocks, Bitunix has added perpetual contracts tied to Intel and Amazon, and previously introduced commodity-based futures for gold and silver.

Bitunix is gradually building a multi-asset futures offering that spans cryptocurrencies, equities, and commodities. The integrated environment allows users to switch between asset classes while using the same trading mechanics familiar to crypto derivatives participants. The exchange reports over 4.2 million users across more than 150 countries and holds Proof of Reserves and a Care Fund for user protection.
