bitFlyer Achieves 10 Consecutive Years as Japan's No.1 in Bitcoin Trading Volume

bitFlyer has maintained the top position in Japanese Bitcoin trading volume for the tenth consecutive year, covering 2016 to 2025. To celebrate, the exchange is running a five-week 'Spring Bitcoin Festival' promotion starting April 3, 2026.
Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer has announced that it ranked first in domestic Bitcoin (BTC) trading volume for the tenth consecutive year, based on data from April 2016 through December 2025. The company said it recorded the highest annual trading volume among all Japanese crypto asset exchanges for 2025, extending its unbroken streak since 2016.
The ranking is based on annual trading volume including spot, contract-for-difference (CFD), and futures transactions, as calculated by bitFlyer using data published by the Japan Virtual and Crypto Assets Exchange Association (JVCEA) and individual exchange disclosures. The firm attributed its sustained lead to strong liquidity and a robust trading environment that has earned long-term customer support.
To mark the milestone, bitFlyer announced a five-week promotional campaign called "Spring Bitcoin Festival," running from April 3, 2026. The campaign will offer a series of benefits aimed at both existing Bitcoin holders and new users. Details for each week will be released sequentially on bitFlyer's official website and its X (formerly Twitter) account @bitFlyer.
bitFlyer was founded in 2014 with the mission of "making the world easy with blockchain." The exchange places emphasis on security and regulatory compliance. It operates subsidiaries bitFlyer USA Inc. and bitFlyer EUROPE S.A., and through affiliate bitFlyer Blockchain, develops the proprietary "Miyabi" blockchain, which is used as an infrastructure platform for tokens listed on the exchange. The group aims to expand its leadership across Asia.
