Binance Pool Shuts Down in 18 Days: What Miners Must Do…
Binance will shut Binance Pool and related mining services at 07:00 UTC on 10 November 2026, giving miners 18 days from 23 October to redirect hashrate and withdraw balances.

Binance will permanently close Binance Pool and its related mining services at 07:00 UTC on 10 November 2026. The exchange announced the decision on 13 October, leaving miners four weeks to move. From 23 October, 18 days remained before the cutoff. The shutdown ends a pool that ran for more than six years and produced 22,188 Bitcoin blocks.
What closes and what miners must do
The closure covers Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, the Transaction Accelerator, mining pool API services, Telegram hashrate alerts and email notifications. At the deadline, Binance will disable Stratum endpoints and stop crediting shares, meaning any hashrate still pointed at the pool will earn nothing. Pool links will be removed from Binance's homepage on 10 November, but the Binance Pool webpage will stay accessible until 24 November at 07:00 UTC, giving users 14 days to download historical data, account records and payout information.
Miners must disconnect equipment and redirect hashrate to another pool before 10 November. Binance did not name a migration destination or recommend a competitor. Users with active Pool Savings positions must redeem or unsubscribe before the closure. Binance said eligible outstanding rewards, balances, refunds and settlements will be processed after shutdown, subject to product rules, account status, compliance checks and applicable laws. It asked users to complete identity verification and other account steps by 23:59 UTC on 10 November for timely processing.
Binance Pool's share of global Bitcoin hashrate had already fallen. Data cited from Hashrate Index put the pool at about 8.7 EH/s on 15 October, or 0.84% of the network, ranking 12th. That compared with roughly 26 EH/s and a 2.3% share in December 2025. Foundry USA, AntPool and F2Pool held 24.93%, 21.1% and 17.09% respectively, for a combined 63.12%, according to that data. Mempool.space's trailing seven-day figures showed Foundry at 27.0%, AntPool at 19.6% and F2Pool at 16.0%. If Binance Pool's remaining hashrate moves to those established operators, concentration could increase.
The exit follows other 2026 mining-sector departures. SBI Crypto said on 2 July that its pool would close on 31 July 2026 and pointed miners with about 21 EH/s to Braiins, Luxor and NeoPool, without endorsing them. Poolin filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States on 22 July 2026. Binance linked its own closure to a review of products and services but gave no further explanation, profitability figures or strategic detail. The exchange closed its centralized NFT marketplace in July, directing users to Binance Wallet.
Binance Pool launched in April 2020 and had nearly 36,000 workers and 1.73 EH/s by late April that year, according to a Finance Magnates report. Mempool.space statistics show it mined 22,188 blocks and collected 137,059 BTC in rewards. It used a full pay-per-share model, which paid miners a fixed amount per submitted share regardless of whether the pool found a block. Affected miners now have just over two weeks to reconfigure hardware and choose a new pool, with Foundry USA, AntPool, F2Pool, ViaBTC and Braiins seen as likely destinations.
