Amana Hires CTO Andrey Artamonov to Boost MENA Trading

MENA neobroker amana has named Andrey Artamonov, former CTO of Devexperts, as its new Chief Technology and Information Officer to bolster its technology infrastructure and support rapid user expansion.

On July 6, 2026, amana, a leading neobroker in the MENA region, announced the appointment of Andrey Artamonov as Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTO & CIO). The move aims to strengthen the firm's technology foundation as it continues to expand its presence across the Middle East and North Africa.

Founded in 2019, amana offers a mobile-first trading platform that aggregates over 6,800 assets, including more than 1,200 MENA-listed equities, U.S. stocks, ETFs, metals, FX, and cryptocurrencies. The platform has attracted over half a million users in the region, making it one of the most widely used fintech apps in the Middle East. The neobroker model has gained traction amid regulatory reforms in the UAE and Saudi Arabia that support digital-native brokerage services.

Artamonov brings more than two decades of fintech experience to his new role. He spent 17 years at Devexperts, a global trading technology provider, where he served as CTO for nine years, overseeing an engineering organization of over 700 professionals. He later founded TripleA Digital, a Lisbon-based consultancy focused on AI-driven automation for financial workflows. At amana, he will oversee application development, corporate IT, business intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and platform operations.

The appointment signals a strategic push toward scalable cloud architecture, enhanced cybersecurity, data-driven insights, and AI-powered automation. These capabilities are expected to help amana maintain its competitive edge against other neobrokers in the region, such as Sarwa, Fasset, and Saudi-based Riyadh Trade.

“Technology has always been at the heart of what we do,” said Muhammad Rasoul, CEO of amana. “As we continue to grow, we’re investing in the people who can help us build faster, smarter and at a much larger scale.” Artamonov added, “I see a real opportunity to build technology that not only supports the company’s growth but also helps set a new standard for investing and trading in the region.”

The new CTO’s mandate includes supporting the company’s continued growth and scaling the business as it enters new markets, potentially in North Africa and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council region, as well as expanding into institutional services and product diversification.
