A Full Moon for Every Child: STARTRADER’s STARCARES…

STARCARES, the CSR programme of broker STARTRADER, marked the Mid-Autumn Festival at SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City, delivering gift sets, supplies and cash support to 213 people.
STARCARES, the corporate social responsibility programme of multi-asset broker STARTRADER, hosted a Mid-Autumn Festival event titled "A Full Moon for Every Child" at SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City in the Go Vap district. The celebration involved the 60 children living at the village and was paired with material and financial assistance that reached 213 people in total, including house mothers and staff.
Each child received a gift set with a lantern, cookies, a water bottle, a milk pack and a colouring kit. The programme also delivered hygiene, cleaning and pantry supplies to the village houses, along with direct financial support for the facility's operating costs.
SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City provides long-term, family-based care and education for roughly 160 children, ranging from infants to university students, who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it. According to the organisation, cuts to international aid since 2023 have strained its operations, with remaining funding committed only through 2026. Donations help cover tuition, caregiver salaries and the infrastructure that keeps these family units together.
Peter Karsten, CEO of STARTRADER, framed the contribution as a way to stabilise existing work rather than replace it. "The village was already doing the hard part long before we arrived. Our job is to make the practical side steadier, so the people raising these children can plan instead of improvise," he said. Mr. Hoang Long, Director of SOS Children's Village Ho Chi Minh City, said the support operates on two levels: easing household pressure through essentials and funding, and showing the children they are remembered, which he described as mattering as much as any physical donation.
STARCARES said it designs its activities around recurring commitments under its Child Welfare & Community Aid pillar, and intends to extend similar work to communities where STARTRADER operates. The broker offers retail and institutional clients access to global markets through platforms including MetaTrader, the STARTRADER APP and STAR Copy, and is regulated in five jurisdictions: CMA, ASIC, FSCA, FSA and FSC.
