US Central Command (CENTCOM) successfully struck a submarine and ship maintenance facility in Iran using multiple one-way attack surface drones. The operation, conducted yesterday, involved three Corsair unmanned surface vessels hitting the port at Bandar Abbas naval base.

This marks the first time American forces have employed sea drones in combat operations. According to CENTCOM, the strikes degraded Iran's capability to continue attacking commercial shipping in the region.

The use of sea drones represents a new tactical dimension in the ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, with potential implications for maritime security and energy transportation routes.
