Gold Tumbles Nearly 2% as Dollar Rebounds, Targets $4,000

Gold price drops nearly 2% on Thursday as the US Dollar strengthens amid renewed geopolitical tensions. XAU/USD trades below $4,050 after retreating from a two-day high.

XAUUSD

Gold (XAU/USD) fell sharply on Thursday, losing nearly 2% as the US Dollar mounted a comeback. The selloff was fueled by speculation that the White House may continue its campaign against Iran, raising the prospect of a prolonged Gulf conflict.

XAU/USD is now trading below $4,050 after dropping from a two-day high above an unspecified level. Sellers are eyeing the $4,000 mark as the next downside target.

The move represents a sharp reversal from the safe-haven bid seen earlier in the week, as dollar strength and geopolitical uncertainty weigh on the metal.
