Iran says it held talks on safe shipping principles in Strait of Hormuz

Iran announced discussions with a neighboring coastal state on managing safe passage of shipping through the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated that the two sides exchanged views on common principles and operational mechanisms for safe shipping passage while respecting the sovereign rights of both coastal states.
