Iran and Oman hold talks on Strait of Hormuz, no change in vessel traffic

Iranian and Omani officials held productive discussions in Tehran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, with ongoing technical and political dialogue. Navigation traffic through the strategic waterway remains unchanged.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baqa'i confirmed that talks with Omani officials took place in Tehran over Friday and Saturday at the deputy foreign minister level. The discussions were described as fruitful, covering both technical and political dimensions.

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments, has seen no alteration in vessel movement amid the current regional environment. Consultations between the two countries are set to continue, signaling ongoing coordination to maintain stability in the waterway.
