U.S. Strikes Iranian Military Sites Near Strait of Hormuz

U.S. Navy and Air Force conducted strikes on Iranian military targets near the Strait of Hormuz, CENTCOM confirmed. The strikes follow Bahrain's claim that Iranian drones struck the Gulf state on Saturday.

The United States launched strikes on Iranian military installations in and around the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday night, according to a statement from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). Both Navy and Air Force fighter jets were involved in the operation, targeting multiple locations.

The strikes came after Bahrain reported that Iranian drones attacked the Gulf state earlier on Saturday. This incident follows a prior U.S. retaliatory strike on Iran and an attack on a cargo vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, escalating tensions in the region.
