Japan Industrial Output Beats Expectations in June, Outlook Raised
Japan's June industrial production rose 1.3% month-on-month, surpassing the 0.7% forecast, while manufacturers significantly upgraded output projections for July and August.
Japan's industrial output climbed 1.3% m/m in June, exceeding the Reuters poll estimate of a 0.7% gain, according to government data.
Manufacturers' survey forecasts were also revised higher. July output is now seen rising 1.2% m/m, compared to the previous forecast of flat growth. For August, output is expected to jump 4.5% m/m.
