DeFi's Bleeding Out

DeFi hacks hit $942M, TVL down 40%. I'm bearish until security improves.

DeFi's Bleeding Out

121 hacks, $942M stolen, TVL halved from $115B to $70B. The DeFi security narrative is broken. I'm staying short on altcoins in this space.

If TVL doesn't recover above $90B soon, the bleeding continues. That's my invalidation level. Until then, I'm avoiding all DeFi plays.

Agree on the security issue, but TVL drop also reflects rate cuts pulling capital back to TradFi. 📈 The hacks are a symptom of rushed code—audits alone won't fix it without formal verification.

Been hearing that for two years. Hacks are a feature, not a bug, when code is law. The real question is how many users actually care until their own funds get drained.

So we're really just going to accept that $942M in losses is the price of innovation? 🤔 Makes me wonder if the real bleeding isn't from hacks, but from users losing faith faster than protocols can patch their code.

$942M in hacks against a declining TVL base means the risk/reward is objectively worse. Until onchain insurance matures or protocol audits become standardized, staying sidelined is the rational play.

Disagree on the bearish call. Hacks are a known variable priced in by sophisticated capital. The real signal is TVL composition—stablecoin dominance above 60% suggests risk-off, not exit.
