BUX launches Europe's first self-directed active ETF portfolios in partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management

BUX launches Prime Investment Plans, Europe’s first neobroker-offered active multi-asset ETF portfolios in partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, available in eight countries.
Amsterdam-based neobroker BUX announced on August 4, 2025, the launch of BUX Prime Investment Plans, a new product combining J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s active ETFs into pre-built multi-asset portfolios. The offering marks the first time a European neobroker makes actively managed multi-asset ETF portfolios available to retail investors via automated, self-directed plans.
The Prime Plans are rolling out in the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. They are included in the BUX Prime subscription, which costs €7.99 per month, with no additional platform fees for the plans. Subscribers also receive up to 1.75% interest on cash and access to low trading commissions.
Partnership Details
The collaboration brings J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s active management expertise—backed by a global team of over 900 investment professionals and more than $480 million in annual research spending—to everyday European investors. The diversified portfolios are tailored to different risk levels and investment goals, aiming to outperform market benchmarks.
Yorick Naeff, CEO of BUX, stated that the company is proud to be the first in Europe to offer such actively managed ETF Plans to retail investors. He noted that the partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management opens access to a level of expertise previously reserved for high-net-worth individuals via wealth managers or private banks, calling the move a significant step toward making long-term investing more affordable and simpler.
Travis Spence, Global Head of ETFs at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said the firm is excited to launch these innovative investment plans with BUX. He believes active ETFs can help investors navigate increasingly complex markets and that BUX clients now have access to high-quality portfolios designed to offer diversification and improved investment outcomes.
BUX, a subsidiary of ABN AMRO N.V., operates as a digital investment platform offering stocks, ETFs, and ETCs alongside pre-built and custom Investment Plans. J.P. Morgan Asset Management manages $3.8 trillion in assets (as of June 30, 2025) and is the largest provider of active UCITS ETFs, with over $38 billion in assets under management across more than 35 active ETF strategies covering equity and fixed income markets.
