BUX appoints Marlou Jenniskens as new CEO

BUX has named Marlou Jenniskens as its new CEO, succeeding Yorick Naeff. She joins from ABN AMRO, where she led digital wealth products and helped integrate BUX into the bank.

BUX, the Dutch neobroker, announced on 1 December 2025 that Marlou Jenniskens will become its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2026. Jenniskens currently serves as Head of Digital Wealth Products at ABN AMRO, where she has overseen the development of next-generation investing and pension solutions.

Jenniskens played a pivotal role in integrating BUX into ABN AMRO’s broader wealth strategy following the bank’s acquisition of the broker. Her appointment signals a deepening of the relationship between BUX and its parent company, with a focus on aligning the platform with ABN AMRO’s digital wealth ambitions.

In her new role, Jenniskens will also lead the development of a savings proposition for BUX, combining saving and investing in a single platform. The move is part of BUX’s strategy to position itself as a challenger platform in the European retail investment market.

Current CEO Yorick Naeff, who has led BUX since 2020, will transition to the role of Head of Innovation at ABN AMRO. Naeff praised Jenniskens’ deep knowledge of digital wealth and her network within the bank, calling her “exceptionally well-positioned” to lead the company forward.

Jenniskens is an advocate for greater diversity in finance and has been active in initiatives supporting women’s financial empowerment. “Throughout my career and personal life, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel confident enough to take charge of their financial future,” she said.

The leadership change comes as BUX continues to expand its product range under ABN AMRO ownership, aiming to attract a broader base of retail investors in the Netherlands and beyond.
