US-Iran Draft Deal Framework: Nuclear Freeze, Sanctions Relief, Oil Exports

A proposed US-Iran framework includes Iran halting nuclear weapons development, regional ceasefire, oil export waivers, and a $300 billion reconstruction fund. Both sides will negotiate for 60 days with Oman and Gulf states facilitating maritime security talks.

A draft deal framework between the US and Iran has been revealed, outlining key preliminary terms for a potential breakthrough agreement.

Under the proposal, Iran agrees not to develop or acquire nuclear weapons and to halt hostilities across the region, including in Lebanon. The US would release frozen Iranian assets once the deal takes effect and grant temporary sanctions waivers allowing Iran to export oil during negotiations. The framework also includes a guarantee from Iran for free and safe commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz for 60 days.

Additional points from the framework:

  • Iran maintains its current nuclear program while talks continue; enriched uranium stockpile to be addressed later.
  • US to avoid new sanctions and major military buildups in the region during negotiations.
  • 60 days of negotiations planned, with Oman and Gulf states participating on maritime security and shipping arrangements.
  • A final deal could include US withdrawal of forces within 30 days, lifting of all US sanctions on Iran, and a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran.

The potential agreement would represent one of the most significant US-Iran diplomatic breakthroughs in decades.
