Trump Claims New Iran Deal Blocks Nuclear Weapons, Opens Hormuz Strait

In a Truth Social post, President Trump says his agreement with Iran, set to be signed tomorrow, prevents Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and opens the Strait of Hormuz to all traffic. He contrasts it with the Obama-era JCPOA, stating no money will be exchanged.

President Donald J. Trump announced on Truth Social that his administration's new agreement with Iran will be signed tomorrow. According to the post, the deal creates "a wall to no nuclear weapon" and claims Iran no longer seeks a nuclear weapon through purchase, development, or any other means.

The post states that immediately after signing, the Strait of Hormuz will be open to all traffic. Trump emphasizes that unlike the Obama administration's handling of the JCPOA, no money will exchange hands. He mentions plans to eventually retrieve and downblend "nuclear dust" buried under mountains using B-2 bombers.

Trump contrasts his approach with the previous deal, which he described as an easy path to a nuclear weapon. He warns of an unspecified "ultimate alternative" if the process does not work out smoothly.
