Qatari LNG Carrier Navigates Strait of Hormuz After AIS Blackout

The Onaiza, a Qatari LNG carrier linked to QatarEnergy, has successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz after a temporary AIS blackout. It is now sailing off India's southwest coast with a cargo of approximately 203,800 m³ of LNG.

The LNG carrier Onaiza, with ties to QatarEnergy, has successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing regional security concerns. The vessel experienced a temporary loss of its Automatic Identification System (AIS) signal before resuming broadcasting.

As of the latest data, the Onaiza is sailing off the southwest coast of India, carrying a cargo of approximately 203,800 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas. The transit comes at a time of heightened geopolitical tension in the region, though the ship has proceeded without incident.
