USDCNY

The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) set the USD/CNY central parity rate at 6.7906 for Thursday’s trading session. This compares with Wednesday’s fix of 6.7933 and a Reuters poll estimate of 6.7712.

The daily reference rate serves as the midpoint for the yuan’s trading band, allowing the currency to fluctuate up to 2% in either direction. A lower fix implies a slightly stronger yuan against the dollar.
