Nasdaq Delays Start of SpaceX Share Trading for Orderly Pricing

The Nasdaq announced it needs a few more hours before SpaceX shares (ticker SPCX) can begin trading, citing the need for an orderly IPO and establishing the right price.

SPCX

The Nasdaq has stated that it expects a delay of "a few more hours" before shares of SpaceX, trading under the ticker $SPCX, can begin trading. The exchange's President explained that the additional time is required to ensure the IPO proceeds in an orderly manner and that the correct price is established.

No specific reason for the delay beyond the need for an orderly launch and proper pricing was given. The announcement comes as market participants await the debut of one of the most anticipated IPOs in recent years.
