Israel-Lebanon Normalisation Talks to Resume in August

According to Jerusalem Post sources, no deadline has been set for the Lebanese Armed Forces to demilitarise designated zones. Further implementation of pilot zones depends on the success of the initial programme, with broader talks on normalisation and Hezbollah demilitarisation expected to resume in early August.

Talks between Israel and Lebanon on normalisation and the demilitarisation of Hezbollah are set to resume at the beginning of August, according to sources cited by the Jerusalem Post.

No deadline has been established for the Lebanese Armed Forces to demilitarise designated zones. The implementation of additional pilot zones will be contingent on the successful execution of the initial programme.

These developments indicate a gradual, phased approach to the security arrangements, with progress dependent on the outcomes of the first phase.
