ING Sees Euro Rebounding Toward 1.15 Against Dollar

EUR/USD may have bottomed last week on hopes of geopolitical de-escalation, but a move above 1.15 still depends on dovish Fed repricing and stable risk appetite, according to ING’s Francesco Pesole.

EURUSD

Strategist Francesco Pesole argued that the euro likely bottomed against the U.S. dollar last week, provided markets continue to price in a constructive outlook for de-escalation in geopolitical tensions.

However, a sustained break above the 1.15 level would require further repricing of the Federal Reserve’s rate path in a dovish direction, alongside a stabilization in risk sentiment.

The note underscores the euro’s sensitivity to both interest‑rate differentials and broader market mood as geopolitical headlines evolve.
